The Art of Sabrage

My sister-in-law taught me this party trick in December, it's much easier than I thought.

She taught me however to first tilt the bottle forward to build up the pressure in the bottle's neck

and then to find the seam on the bottle neck.  Running the blunt side of the blade over the seam and

then firmly hitting the bottle neck so that it will pop off..

It does take practice to not let any of the sparkling wine go to waste during this process.
